AML & Verification Policy at Supercat Casino

Our AML and Verification Policy

We operate under Curaçao licence 8048/JAZ2016-050, and that licence obliges us to verify who you are, monitor what moves through your account and keep records. This page explains exactly what we do and what we ask of you.

Our Anti Money Laundering Commitment

Supercat Casino holds licence 8048/JAZ2016-050 issued in Curaçao, and we treat the anti-money-laundering obligations attached to that licence as binding on every part of our operation. Since our launch in 2018 we have applied the same principle: gambling funds must be traceable to a real person and a legitimate origin, and any attempt to obscure that traceability is a matter we act on.

Our compliance team applies a risk-based approach. That means higher scrutiny for larger transactions, unusual patterns or jurisdictional red flags, and proportionate handling for routine play. We report suspicious activity to the relevant authorities where our licence requires it, and we do not notify you when such a report has been made.

When We Verify Your Identity

Verification checkpoints

We verify identity at three points: at registration we confirm your basic details and screen your name against sanction lists, before your first withdrawal we require full document verification, and at any point thereafter when a threshold or a risk signal triggers a re-check. You may complete document checks earlier, and we encourage it so withdrawals are never held up.

  • Photo ID: passport, driving licence or national identity card, valid and unedited
  • Proof of address: utility bill, bank statement or official letter dated within the last 3 months
  • Payment method ownership: card photo showing the last 4 digits, or a screenshot of your e-wallet or crypto wallet showing your account name
  • Source of funds evidence, only where a deposit or pattern of play meets our thresholds

How Our Verification Works

Step by step

Verification runs through your account settings and takes most players a single sitting. We aim to review standard submissions within 48 hours, and we tell you the outcome by email and in your account. If anything is unclear or unreadable we ask for a replacement rather than silently rejecting the file.

  • Upload documents via the secure verification area of your account
  • Our team checks each document against your registered details
  • Names must match across your ID, address proof and payment method
  • You receive written confirmation, or a request for a clearer copy, within 48 hours
  • Approved files are locked to your profile and access is logged

How we protect your documents

When We Ask About Source of Funds

For most players a photo ID and address proof are enough. Where deposits are large, frequent relative to your stated profile, or funded in a way we cannot trace, we ask for evidence of where the money comes from. A payslip, employment contract, pension statement, bank statement or sale agreement for an asset are all acceptable depending on your situation.

We ask because our licence requires us to be satisfied that funds wagered with us have a legitimate origin. A source-of-funds request is not an accusation; it is a standard control that applies to a small share of accounts, and your play is unaffected while we review what you send.

How We Monitor Transactions

Deposits and withdrawals

Every deposit and withdrawal passes automated screening for patterns that do not fit normal gambling behaviour, followed by manual review where the system flags something. Withdrawals are returned by the same method you used to deposit wherever technically possible, so money leaves by the route it arrived. Where a method cannot receive payouts, such as Paysafecard, we pay to a verified alternative in your name.

Our withdrawal limits are £5,000 per day and £20,000 per month, with e-wallet payouts processed in 0 to 24 hours, cards in 1 to 3 business days and bank transfers within 5 business days. We never charge fees on withdrawals, and large payouts may require additional verification before release.

If Verification Is Not Completed

If your documents are missing, illegible or inconsistent, we pause withdrawals on your account until the check is finished. You keep access to your account and your balance, and we tell you precisely what is outstanding so you can fix it. Repeated refusal to comply after 30 days leaves us no option but to close the account under our licence terms.

Where we detect deliberate identity misuse, third-party payment or attempts to move funds for someone else, we freeze the account, hold the balance and, where the law requires, file a report. Any balance held is returned only to a verified account in your own name.

How Long We Keep Your Records

Our licence obliges us to retain identity documents, transaction records and compliance decisions for a set period after your account closes, and we retain them for exactly that long and no longer. Retention exists so that a regulatory audit or a lawful investigation can be answered with evidence.

When the retention period expires, your documents are deleted from our live systems and from backups on their next cycle. You may request a copy of the personal data we hold at any time by contacting [email protected], available 24 hours a day through live chat and email.

Frequently asked questions

Can I withdraw before my verification is complete?

No. We require full document verification before your first withdrawal. Once you are verified, later withdrawals are not re-checked unless a threshold or a risk signal triggers a review.

How long does verification take?

We review standard submissions within 48 hours. Complex cases, such as a source-of-funds request covering multiple payment methods, can take a few days longer.

Why was my payout sent by a different method?

We pay out by the same method you deposited with wherever possible. Methods that cannot receive funds, such as Paysafecard, are redirected to a verified account in your own name.

What happens to my documents after verification?

They are stored on access-controlled, encrypted systems, locked to your profile and retained for the period our Curaçao licence requires after your account closes, then deleted.
